Blue Florida’s Project 140 launched in 2020 with one simple mission; recruit Democrats to run in every single Florida House and Senate district up for election.
Too many Florida legislative districts still go uncontested or heavily favor one party, making it incredibly difficult to build momentum and long-term competitive power. Project 140 is here to change that by recruiting, training, and equipping Democrats to run in every district, so voters in every community have a real choice on their ballot; every seat, no gaps.
If you are ready to help us not only find the candidates to run in every state leg race, but TRAIN them to run organized, scrappy campaigns, we ask that you support our mission by making a donation of $20.26, or whatever you can. We need YOUR SUPPORT to make sure EVERY Incumbent Republican has to WORK for their seats.

We don’t wait for “perfect” candidates. We find trailblazers who care about their communities and give them the tools to run credible campaigns, from ballot access and compliance to messaging, digital presence, and fundraising basics. And here’s the twist; we know winning in many districts might be a tall order, but that doesn’t mean running doesn’t matter. We help candidates run tough races and lose with class—build name recognition, sharpen skills, grow networks, and turn what looks like an uphill battle into real momentum for next time.
Blue Florida PC has been building this pipeline since 2020. In the 2020 cycle, we recruited 36 Democratic candidates across the state, filling all but one legislative seat. In 2024, we expanded that work by recruiting more than 50 candidates and raising funds to help them qualify for the ballot and launch viable campaigns.
In 2026, Project 140 is leveling up. We’re recruiting earlier, training harder, and supporting smarter, especially in districts where the baseline playing field is tilted and traditional approaches just don’t cut it. The goal is simple; build a stronger Democratic bench for the Florida Legislature and make sure no community is left without a candidate on their ballot.
If you’re tired of seeing your district go uncontested, good.
If you’ve ever thought, “Someone should run here,” even better.
