Commonsense Democrats operates a separate Federal Contribution Account through our Hybrid PAC structure. This account gives us the ability to make direct contributions to federal candidates, allowing us to support strong, pragmatic leaders through the formal contribution process.
Under federal law, this account may accept up to $5,000 per year from an individual donor and may not accept corporate contributions. It serves an important purpose, but it is not our primary tool for building national influence or reaching voters at scale.
For donors, this account offers a way to support our candidate contribution strategy directly, while our Independent Expenditure account drives the larger communication and voter outreach effort. Both matter, but they serve different functions within the broader mission of electing commonsense leadership.
