I’m David Johnson — a public school teacher, a Madison County resident, and proud Kentuckian — running for State Representative in District 91.
For too long, Frankfort has been controlled by the wealthy and well-connected while working families, teachers, and rural communities are pushed aside.
That stops now.
Every single day in the classroom, I see the reality that too many politicians ignore—families doing everything right but still falling behind, schools expected to do more with less, and communities that feel forgotten.
And I didn’t just sit back and accept it!
Through my diabetes advocacy work, I took that fight to Frankfort and helped push real legislation into law—because I believe when everyday people stand up, we can beat big pharma and make change happen!
Now I’m running to take that fight even further.
This seat will be open in 2026 for the first time in many years, and make no mistake—it will be competitive. But this is our chance to take it back for the people.
I’m fighting for:
I don’t take marching orders from political insiders or corporate special interests. I answer to the people—because this campaign is powered by you.
If you believe in a Kentucky where working people get a fair shot, where rural communities aren’t left behind, and where every voice truly matters—
I need you on this team.

Any amount helps—but if you can give $25 or more, you’re helping us reach more voters, knock more doors, and take this fight all the way to Frankfort.
Let’s send a teacher—not a politician—to the State Capitol.
Let’s win this. Together.
