Contribution rules
- I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
- This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
- I am at least eighteen years old.
- I am not a federal contractor.
- I am making this contribution with my own personal credit card and not with a corporate or business credit card or a card issued to another person.
Contribution limits and guidelines for the New York State Democratic Committee:
Under federal law, the NYSDC is required to use its best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation, and employer for individuals who contribute more than $200 in a calendar year. The NYSDC’s federal account may accept contributions subject to the prohibitions and limitations of federal law – up to $10,000 from individuals, partnerships, LLCs (if taxed as a partnership), and unincorporated sole proprietorships, as well as checks of up to $5000 from federally registered PACs.
Contributions are not tax-deductible for federal income tax purposes.
