Sara Kohen for OPPD Board of Directors

Sara Kohen is running for Omaha Public Power District’s Board of Directors for Subdivision 1. Sara believes Nebraskans deserve reliable, affordable electricity and a public power system that puts people first. She is a mom of four and attorney who now works to engage families and build community as a school administrator.

OPPD needs strong, practical, and collaborative leadership on its Board of Directors. OPPD is a publicly owned utility. That's important because it's supposed to work in the best interests of all its customers — who are its owners — not outside interests. Nebraska is the only state with 100% public power. We the people control it, and we need to make sure that is always the case. As a Director, Sara will listen to the needs of the public and work with management to make sure those needs are met.
