Donate! Support Cjala Surratt for Common Councilor at Large

My name is Cjala Surratt, and I’m running for Syracuse Common Councilor-at-Large to champion accountable, forward-thinking leadership. My campaign is rooted in a simple principle: leadership can advance the common good by investing in affordable housing, protecting our most vulnerable neighbors, reducing poverty, supporting youth, and ensuring public resources deliver results.

I’ve spent my career advocating alongside communities impacted by legacies of disinvestment, supporting small businesses, creative workers, and local organizations that build economic and cultural vitality. My experience shaping policy and organizing for equitable access reflects a commitment to practical solutions and government accountability.

I’m a lifelong Syracuse resident, a proud Syracuse City School District graduate, and a Syracuse University alum. For two decades, I’ve worked as a community advocate, policy leader, entrepreneur, and arts champion, supporting small businesses, strengthening local organizations, and building connections across our city.

DONATE: Your support makes this campaign possible. No amount is too small. By contributing today, you help bring accountable, people-centered leadership to Syracuse. Together, we can turn ideas into action.
